The Guadalupe River overflowed after 12 inches of rain fell very quickly on Friday morning. As of now, more than 82 people have died , and many others are still missing. Sadly, 28 of the victims were children from summer camps near the river. 💧 Why Was the Flood So Bad? The flood happened very fast during the night while most people were asleep. The land in that area cannot absorb water well, so the rain just ran across the ground and into the river.
